And yes, you guessed it โ my middle name is Violet. I was born and raised in Seattle as the youngest of four. My passion for writing began at a very young age; in fact, my second-grade teacher told my parents I would become a writer some day โ and she was absolutely right.
After high school, I made my way to a small town in Arkansas to attend Harding University, where I received a public relations degree (and had way too many part-time jobs to count). After graduation, I moved with my now-husband to Denver, where we lived for two years. During that time, we got married, we got a dog, and I started my first real job out of college at a real estate technology company called booj, which was acquired by RE/MAXยฎ in 2018. At booj, I helped launch a new program called booj Digital. Over the course of six years, I wrote community-focused blog content and managed social media for a number of real estate companies across the country, from Portland, Oregon to Fort Collins, Colorado. I eventually became the content team lead; in addition to my writing workload, I edited the work of other writers and helped manage the content calendar for all clients.
After six years at booj, honing my writing skills and learning more about the real estate industry, I launched Holly Violet Creative to reach a variety of clients and cover a wide range of topics. I specialize in both real estate and tourism to encompass my experience writing about โthings to do in [an area]โ, similar to what you might see on a Visit [City] site. At Holly Violet Creative, I help people fall in love with where they are and where theyโre going.
